I also have purchased fiche and it can be expensive but I also transcribed
them into spreadsheets. I have the ability to then sort them by last name,
first name, date, whatever. It makes lookups easy and I offer them through
Genuki. I am so happy when someone asks for a lookup! It can be time
consuming to do but also can be very interesting. I have seen comments about
excommunications, comets streaming through the sky, eclipses, you name it!
You can also sometimes find extra info, like occupations that can help track
families. If you cannot transcribe them, I am sure there are those that can
help!


I got a fiche reader froma local auto place that didn't need it, so I could
set up at home!
