Hi all,

I am tracking this family through census records etc as James' father
William was recorded as being born at St Giles in the Wood and therefore
may be related to my Thorne ancestors.

The writing on the census schedule for the family (as Thorn) in 1871 at
Ellacombe is terrible, and I am unable to read the birth places of the
first four children, William, Mary Jane, James and Emily Charlotte.

From later records Emily was born in Risca, Monmouthshire, and the
other three older children may also have been born in Wales.

Is anyone related to or researching the family and may be able to help ?
