There was a New Passage at Plymouth.
Entry on East Stonehouse from the National Gazetteer of Britain and Ireland
(1868) (see Genuki):
STOKE DAMEREL, a parish in Devonport borough, county Devon, including Devonport
town and dockyard, Morice Town, New Passage, Keyham Docks, Ford, Swilly, and the
north-western suburbs of Plymouth.
Regards,
Joy

I've seen countless references on the censuses to a birthplace - NEW
PASSAGE, Devon.
A search on Genuki - for any county, as two words and one word - shows
nothing.
Where is this place?
