Definitely off topic but I am impressed with Elizabeth's knowledge of
records in the National Archives and how to search them.

I have found a list of soldiers from the 4th "The King's Own" Regiment of
Foot who were stationed in Newfoundland in June 1787 (see
http://ngh.chebucto.org/Articles/eng-reg-1787-sjcity.shtml) Source:
Regimental Record, WO12/2196 found at the PRO at Kew Gardens. I hope to
find records on BRIAN LAVERTY and JOHN LAVERTY. Also looking for George
LAVERTY born abt 1782 who may also have been a soldier. He settled in New
Brunswick, Canada abt 1816.

Any advice will be appreciated.
