I am trying to find more information on the Adams family who lived in the East Prawle Coastguard station ca 1881. Peter Adams (Head) then became a publican in East Prawle (1891 "Union Hotel" -now "Pig's Nose Inn") & in West Alvington (1901, "Ring O' Bells"). My connection is through my grandaunt, Mary Brewer Cross Hoskin. Peter must have been well known in the area with his varied people-related occupations. Prior to 1881 Peter, a Boatswain R.N. & Coastguard was stationed in Mount Batten & Cawsand Rame. I would be most grateful for any help in tracing further information. Regards Ian Hoskin
