Do you think this could be the birth index record for Stanley?

John Stanley Sellick - June 1910 Bristol volume 6a page 143

Can any of your kind listers please help me to find out more about my uncle
Stanley Sellick.

I have been unable to find out any details of his birth; however I have
discovered him on the 1911 Census.

According to the Census he was aged 1 in 1911 and was an inmate at the St.
Thomas Workhouse in Exeter.

He was with his mother (my Grandmother) Bessie (nee Palmer) and one of his
Sisters, Dorothy (aged 3).
His place of birth is given as Gloucestershire, Bristol.
There is a family story that he was in the Navy at one time and when he left
the Navy he joined the RAC. He may then have moved to the Nottingham area.
He is said to have visited some of his Palmer relatives in Lawrence Weston
at some time.
I have a photo that is believed to be Stanley Sellick dressed in Naval

My mother Amy Sellick was born in 1915 and never knew Stanley.
Although I have been able to trace other members of my Mother’s family, no
one seems to know much about Stanley.
So any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
