Hi, Kingsbridge has an OPC who might be able to help , and in the Pigots directory of 1830 there is a Samuel Bentley , watchmaker of Kingsbridge. There is also an apprentice record for a Thos son of Thos apprenticed to Edm Clare of Modbury , Dev, " brass" for £5 in 1740 . That is not to say he is your Thomas Bentley !!
