Judging by the fact that the marriage record shows her as Elizabeth Ann
BREND, I would tend to go for the latter. Do you have a copy of her marriage
in 1905 to your grandfather? Have you looked at the 1911 census which would
details her exact place of birth?

ELIZABETH married my Grandfather AUGUSTUS PHILP b1880 BUCKLAND BREWER.
