Thank you so much for directing us to that site. It's brilliant! Not only have I found a load of pics for my family history, also found lots which help with writing projects, and for the Local History Group.

Even my 'ancestral home', Overday Farm, Luppitt, is there (although I already have a copy of that particular postcard), and I think one of the unidentified pics is the same farm (I have some modern pics for comparison).

One thing v. frustrating though, there are lots of photos of unidentified people labelled 'possibly taken in Luppitt' and though my branch (from a younger son) of the family (Hoskins) left Overday in the early 18th century, the main lot continued there until 1828, with another branch (or possibly the descendants of the original owners) buying it back in the early 19th century. So possibly some of these people are distant relations, but no real way of finding out.

Anyway, brilliant site, highly recommended.

Regards

Angela
