I will forward this to a FOSS researcher here in NZ... as we had a Samuel Foss here at Clareville in 1880s, also which is strange, very strange, Samuel and his wife Mary are buried at Mangatinoaka, just out of Pahiatua in the Tararua District of NZ... The headstone says Samuel and Mary, but, the records state THOMAS and Mary.. Now this Foss family have no idea why they have Thomas instead of Samuel!!

We can find no record of a Thomas Foss who was in the district, so if anyone knows of a Thomas who may have been in NZ please get in touch.. thank you.

Samuel Foss was bought out from England to be the First Manager of Taratahi Dairy Factory.
