When Thomas SEARLE was baptised in WOODBURY circa 1680 his father John
SEARLE was listed in the parish register "of Comb" At first I thought this
might refer to a local house, farm or area but I now wonder whether it
refers to Combe Raleigh about 13 miles away or Comb in Teignhead about 12
miles distant. Has anyone with a local knowledge of EAST DEVON got any
bright ideas please ?
Thanks
Keith Searle
