Found him - I was listening to a talk on the radio about politicians going
door to door prior to an election - as I was going page by page through the
Tavistock 1861 census.

I am sure there is an easy way to find this information - but I haven't
found it yet:

Could someone please let me know the 1861 census reference (RG9) piece,
folio and page for the Tavistock Union Workhouse.

I have a note on a scrappy piece of paper that John VEALE (born Devon 1837 -
mason) was there for this census - but the Ancestry search hasn't found him.

Thank you
