I have a John Williams who was 38 in the 1791 Newfoundland census. He
married Sarah Bidgood 22 June 1791 in Newfoundland. He may have come
from Bideford or Barnstable in Devon. He was in the Newfoundland
trade. She was the daughter of Philip Bidgood and Mary Watts and was
baptised in Newfoundland 17 Nov 1772.
They were connected to Chafes from Torquay, also Marshalls, Angels ,
Ryan,, Pope, Cook, and Allen.
Any connections appreciated.
