Just a reminder to listers that this service for providing service records for soldiers serving post 1920 is restricted to next of kin. It is not generally available to the public

A member mentioned this link recently, for obtaining WW2 records, I was wondering if anybody has any experience of this service and what type of information they received? I have my Grandads army service book, which contains lots of his army history, I was wondering if it was worth paying out the £30?

Also I need to order a copy of his death certificate, so could sks provide me with the index for his death certificate,I would really appreciate it, for:

Frederick Henry Churchill, died 31 Jan 1963 at Bideford.

many thanks
