Hi Sher,

Because I know there was a Bible Christian movement in our area, I
started saving any information that was posted on the Devon List, as
well as the URL to your site.

Recently, I have come across some Bible Christians in outer branches of
my family tree. The Richard & Elizabeth STEER family of Buckland
Brewer, Devon appear to have taken to that faith as they sent their
daughter Alice Isabella FULFORD to Edgehill College, Northdown Road in
Bideford. I found her there on the 1891 Census. The Head of the
College was William B. REED of Buckland Brewer, Bible Christian
Minister.

I didn't see anything on your site about this school. Are you aware of
it? If so, can you tell me anything more about it?

Another remote branch in my family tree are James & Susanna BALSDON of
Black Torrington. They baptised their first son at the Bible Christian
facility in Shebbear, Devon in 1820, but must have had second thoughts
as he was re-baptised in 1822, along with his next sibling at the parish
church in Black Torrington.
