Hi Sue and all
If your chap was an excavator in Lambeth then he may well have been working
to create part of the London underground railway system.
Robert BRAUND (born 1851 in Colbrook, Devon) and his wife Jessie Hannah (nee
JENNINGS) born 1854 Torquay. Went to Woolwich (not all that far from
Lambeth) about 1880 for this purpose. Robert is described as an 'excavator'.
Maybe they had a recruiting drive in this area!
Janet Buckland Brewer - where it is snowing!
