Dear All
I am looking for a will for my 4 x great-grandfather who died in Thorverton,
Devon on 22nd July 1841. He bore the wonderful name of Azel Coplestone and
was married to Bathsheba Palmer - very Thomas Hardyish.
Azel was stated to be a Yeoman on the death certificate and it is known to
have had land in the area and was also churchwarden and a land tax assessor
so he may have left a will. I wondered where I might find a will as it is
before the civil listing of wills that began in 1858.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mary Pendlebury
