Hi Ro,

I too am researching YELLAND on my husbands side. We have a Richard Yelland that was born in Halwill and married Mary ALFORD April 15, 1789 in Bratton Clovely. They had 13 children, one being William born in Thrushelton. William married Thomasin NORTHCOTT Nove. 17, 1829 in Thrushelton. Their son, William was born Mar. 10, 1832 in Thrushelton. This William came to Canada sometime after the 1851 census and 1857.

I would be interested to hear more about your William Yelland. My
paternal line leads back to a Richard Yelland b. 1764 Halwill. He had a
son William, b.1797 in Thrushelton. Is this your William?
