Hello List,
Returning to the list after a long break. Hoping there is someone else researching these 2 family trees; and hoping to put a crack in the brick wall of 2 of my LARCOMBE ancestors. Both were convicts transported to Australia in 1790 and 1839.
Any assistance/information on these two fellows would be very much welcomed:
John LARCOMBE b. 1758c Dorset? (5xGreat-Grandfather)
Tried and sentenced at Wiltshire in 1787
1788-1790 on the prison hulk, DUNKIRK in Plymouth (age given as 29)
Sailed in the Second Fleet to Australia onboard the NEPTUNE in 1790.
Robert LARCOMBE b.1810c Somersetshire? (3xGreat-Grandfather)
Tried and sentenced at Devon Assizes in 1838
Transported to Australia onboard the JOHN BARRY in 1839. Robert at trial was said to be a Stone Mason Apprentice of 2½ years.
Thank you - my apologies for cross posting.
Christine
