I have just obtained the above Seamans record. He signed on for 10yrs in
1874 and was discharged on 14 Oct 1882 in the cause column underlined is D.D
Does that stand for Discharge Deceased. Cannot find a death certificate in
Dec Quarter 1882, Are naval deaths recorded elsewhere?
