Sorry to rain on your parade, but I must ask the obvious question.

Where is the extra piece of information that has enabled the LDS transcriber
to make the decision that Hannabus is a girl?

The IGI is not the final arbiter. The original record is. If after viewing
the original record, you are unable to decide, then you might have to assume
that the LDS transcriber has guessed, and your own guess is just as good.
