Thought I would pass this message on to the Devon list as a lot of men from Devon joined or were transferred to the Cornish Constabulary. Some of them only joined for a day, a week or just a few months. Their reasons for leaving are quite interesting, the majority due to drunkenness!!!

At the moment I am transcribing the whole of the Cornwall Constabulary!!! I've done about 600 and they can be found on my web site. If you see anyone you know please ask and I will give you full details. The information can be found at http://www.btinternet.com/~e.newbery/police.htm I will be adding new names about once a week until the work is complete...if I don't get fed up!!

Please, if you find someone you think is yours, I do need the page number for a look up.
