Hello Listers

This is my first posting since rejoining the list. At
present I am researching my gr gr grandmother,
Mary FROST WILLING . born c. 1841 in Plymouth.

She married 1. William Henry WIlliams 19 Sept 1867
(Born Turnchapel 1846 Died 17 April 1879 Hooe. )

Mary Susan 1869
John Silas 1872
Samuel 1874
William Henry 1876
George Friend 1878
Alice Emma c1880

Married 2. James Mann Hurrell June qu 1898

My problem is that at her marriage to WILLIAMS she is
named as Mary Frost WILLING,spinster. Her father's
name is given as Silas FROST. I wonder why she used
the name WILLING.

The family story is that she had three relationships.
One with a Mr HART who left her a wealthy woman. Then
the two marriages to WILLIAMS and HURRELL. No mention
of a WILLING.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is
related to this family, or anyone who can suggest a
reason for Mary to be using the name WILLING.
