This headstone is in the Anglican Cemetery by Quidi Vidi Lake, St John's,
Newfoundland, Canada.

In memory of PETER GERMAN TESSIER merchant of this city and a member of the
Legislative Council for twenty four years, born at Newton Abbot Devon England
February 1st 1819, died at St John's April 24th 1886.
Erected in loving remembrance by his wife and children.
