As a general question, are there birth records available in Devonshire for 1865? I do not know a specific town name, only that my g-greatfather was born in Devonshire in October, 1865. His parents were married in the Church of England in Staffordshire in 1863, but I am trying to obtain documentation of birth records. What might be the best avenue to pursue to obtain birth records with such spare info as this. My g-grandfather left England as a child of 10 in 1875 for America so I am only needing this small period of time to research. Thanks, Sandy Sydlik
