There are a number of us in search of our Mudge ancestors. My mother was
a Mudge via her great grandfather who migrated to South Australia in
1839. They came from Torquay, where he had been a cooper, and his family
appears to have been from Cockington. I have some info on them, but
there are other researchers who have more, I suspect. But like most
colonials, I am doing it hard on Devon records, although I am now living
in Sweden, so am about 12000 miles closer than I was.
