GlacierI wonder if there is some soul out there with knowledge of Appledore
/Northam who might know the answer to a question about mariners. I am
trying to investigate a GORVIN family in that area. I have a bible page
sent to me giving info on a "Caplin Gorvin" marrying a Miss Ellis. (no
dates) Hunting around I see there is a John GORVIN m Mary Ellis in
Monkleigh, 1793. The children seem to all have been born in Northam (altho
bible techinally says Appledore, no name just "7children, Appledore").

I cannot find a Caplin but what about "Captin" ? Does anyone know if there
was a mariner John Gorvin in the Northam area during that time frame??? Or
how might I find out?
