Hi Lee:

Answering a more general question, a good way to try and locate
places in Devon is first of all to try the listing of Devon town and
parishes, reached from a button at the top of the GENUKI/Devon main
page (http://www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/)

If you can't find what you are looking for on this page, try
GENUKI/Devon's Online Devon Gazetteer, which you can find at:

http://www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/Gazetteer/

This is a 12,000-item listing that has been constructed of all the
places (chapels, churches, farms, hamlets, houses, inns, manors,
schools, streets, villages, etc.) and principal organizations (banks,
societies, institutions, etc.) named in White's History, Gazetteer,
and Directory of Devonshire, (1850), and/or Peskett's Guide to the
Parish and Non-Parochial Registers of Devon and Cornwall 1538-1837.

Both of these listings provide links to the relevant GENUKI/Devon
town or parish page - each of which has a location map on it.

And if the place you are looking for might not be in Devon, try
looking under Gazetteers on the main GENUKI page for the UK and
Ireland (http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/)

Hope this helps

Cheers

PS Kenn and Kenton are separate Devon parishes, and hence each has
its own page in GENUKI/Devon
