Hello All,
On occasion you may find that the father is listed as deceased when he is
very much alive, but has deserted the family home.
Both my father in law & my grandfather listed their respective fathers as
deceased.
In the case of my grandfather he refused to acknowledge any reference to his
father who had abandoned his mother & three children in 1902, listing him as
deceased on his marriage certificate of 1928. His father actually died in
1942, without ever meeting his family again.
