Les Pateman was my brother-in-law and as a Babbacombe business man he had a
great interest in the local history of Babbacombe and St Marychurch. Because
of this people constantly brought items of interest to him and this is how
the first volume came to be published. The second volume (1991) came about
as, after the publication of the first one in 1979, he began to receive even
more items. There is no ISBN number for either book.

relating to people of those two places. They have no indexes but thanks to
someone else I think I have seen an index for at least one of these two
volumes on the Genuki Devon www site.
