Hi

Are there any Copper Mines in Devon? I have always thought of Tin
and Copper from Cornwall. The answer may help me narrow down my
next search ;-))

Any ideas what a Mortar Mason is? Builder?

I have a marriage certificate for the marriage of Emma METTERS to
John HICKS (Mortar Mason) in 1869 at Tavistock Registry Office,
fathers are Jonathan METTERS - Tailor (journeyman) and James
HICKS - Copper Miner.
