Hello List,

Please can anyone help me trace my connections to the SEATON family in Devon in the late 18C?

It would appear that my ggg grandfather, William SEATON, a labourer, married a Eleanor HUSHK (or could it be HUSK?) at St Mary Steps Church, Exeter on 21st January 1797. At some later date the couple moved to Long Itchington in Warwickshire where their first child, Eleinor SEATON, was born on 15th June 1807.

The SEATON name crops up quite frequently in and around Leamington, Southam and Long Itchington in Warwickshire. At this stage, I am not sure whether William SEATON was born in Devon or if he had travelled to and worked there and so met Eleanor. Any links into the SEATONs or HUSHKs of Devon would be greatly appreciated.

With thanks in advance,

Michael Ward
Clifton, Bedfordshire
