Hi,

It looks from the answers on this list that some people sign a copy
certificate as well as the Marriage Register. My Marriage Certificate, in
1954, does not have my signature on it.

On the follow up question about stamps, my Marriage Certificate does not
have a stamp on it so it would appear that the law changed between 1950 and
1954. It seems that Births were cheaper that Marriages as my Birth
Certificate 1932 has a 1d stamp on it.
