Hello to you all,
I am making a first attempt to see if anyone can shed some light on any of
the following ancestors and will happily share any branch lines found.
Thomas HICKS a Mason in Rilla Mill, Linkinhorne between 1814 and 1820. Wife
Mary; sons William, Daniel and George were christened there, but do not know
where they came from.
William PUDDICOMBE born about 1791 in Mortonhampstead he married
Mary TANCOCK of Holcombe Burnell in 1812. They lived in Bridford and had 9
children, but William otherwise illusive and have nothing beyond her name
for Mary.
William MORGAN son of Thomas b.1783 in Marychurch and Grace b.1788
Buckfastleigh.
He married Susannah PUDDICOMBE in 1844 but their daughter was living with
his parents in 1851 in Torbryan and no sign of william or Susannah.
William LAKE b.1821 Ide, possibly the son of William b.1792 also Ide and
Sarah ? of Exeter St.Davids, he married
Ann PALMER of Bovey Tracey, b.1836 but do not know where or when but
estimate 1844. Extensive search of IGI and Devon Registry Office so far
unlucky. They lived in Wolborough, Newton Abbot and I have Henry, John and
Joseph born there, but firstborn Thomas b. 1845 in Kingsteignton.
George WATTS of Barnstable b.1821 , Confectioner in Ilfracombe 1881.
Wife Mary HOPGOOD of Braunton b.1820. Elizabeth b. 1857 but that is as much
as I know of this line.
Cheers
Viv Hicks
