I (another Treeby descendent) read your message with interest
and believe that I can shed a little light on what happened to at
least some of the children of Susannah Treeby.
It would seem that some at least, emigrated to Australia and late
last year I had communications with a descendent of one of them..
Part of his letter to me stated:
>>>>From what I can find, Susannah Brown Treeby arrived in 1844 and was
followed out to the Colony of Victoria by two brothers. They were William
Brown Treeby who married Sarah Jane Wilkins in Victoria in 1868. They had
nine children at Brighton. The other was James Brown Treeby who had married
Sarah Luzmore prior to leaving England. They had seven children that I know
of. James and Sarah arrived with their first two children (born in
London) on the "Planet" in August 1857.>>>>
If this is of any interest please let me know and I will pass on your name
and address to the gentleman who wrote this information to me. There is
quite a lot of additional information, including an account of the history
of the life of
Susanna in Victoria where a suburb is now named after her first property.
All the best, Diana in tropical far north Queensland, Australia
