Hi List
Has anyone made a list with some of the weird spellings of place
names in the census and the correct names?I got a Shalug- Devon in the 1851
census this morning anybody know where this is? also I was in a rush and put
in a wrong name into the 1881 census and got a entry with the peoples jobs as
six figured numbers,trust me to exit before I had taken down the name,anybody
know why the numbers instead of Ag/lab or the like?
