Hello Beverley

Welcome to this list.

Thee are loads of MANNINGS in and around South Molton and surrounding
parishes. I have a selection of transcripts (esp 1841 and 1871 census for
S.Molton) so if you can give me a starting point like a name/age/date/place
I will have a look. Others will no doubt look at the 1851 and 1881 census
for you if you don't already have the CDs, but don't expect a blanket search
for such a wide-spread name.

And yes - Rings Ash is the old name for Ashreigny. Another point, Ashreigny
gave its name to a circuit of Non-conformist sect, Bible
Christian/Methodist, so many events could be in those registers.

There are no TREBILCOCKs in South Molton in 1841 or 1871.

Regards

David Ryall
