Thank you for that information Carol. It is not my family but the head of house comes from Kent I notice. That is good news in itself as the HOGBEN or HOGBIN name can be traced back to 1200 and even earlier there as Canute gave one of them an earldom. If I could find my link that would be a great line to follow....Lin
