Hello:

I was searching the Crediton Baptism reel at the Family History Centre. and found this interesting item.

LUXTON, William s of Sarah 18 Mar 1810

A married woman whose husband has been a year a half and still absent...
Indeminity has been given to the Parish by the reputed husband
Father: William Davy

Does anyone know what the indeminity means: I am presuming that it means the husband is not responsible for the new baby.
.

I am still searching for the answer.

William GRIBBLE m Mary BUCKINGHAM 1789

William GRIBBLE m Mary VINNICOMBE 1803

Which wife would be the mother of George GRIBBLE. b 1816
married Jane Maunder 1843. I believe William was still alive as it gave his occupation. on the marriage certificate.

If anyone needs a look-up for Crediton get your requests in early. As I have only
limited access to the film. Only five more weeks I am waiting for the Marriage
reel to come in.....if you need a look-up....

Regards
