The period of time that I am looking for is pre 1800's for the Parkyns and about the same for the Notts.
The particular lady I am seeking is Ann Nott who married Thomas Parkyn in 1849, and the reason I suspect she was originally from Devon was that her two elder children were born in South Moulton . They were Mary Jane Parkyn b. 1850 and Sarah Anne b. 1851

Dear Listers

I joined the List a little while ago, which I have very much enjoyed as I have found the subjects very varied.

I actually joined the list to find out something about the possibility of our family name PARKYN possibly emanating from Devon way back.

I am trying once again before unsubscribing to locate any Parkyn family who may be connected to ours. I also asked for any descendants of a Nott family from South Molton (sp?).
To neither of these queries have I had a reply.

Perhaps I could now ask again for anybody connected with these names to contact me?

Many Thanks

Yvonne Parkyn
