Julie,
The original handwritten census shows that the SMITHs and ARSCOTTs were two
separate households in the same building. (These marked divisions have
usually been ignored in the CD version.)
In cases like the ARSCOTTs where husbands were away at the time of the
census, the local St Mary Major enumerator recorded no Head of household.
