Hello Listers,
I'm searching for any information on my oldest know ancestor, William SMITH,
who most likely was born in the Devon area or close by about 1725. He like
many other Devon folks went to Newfoundland with his young wife, Sarah.
Their first children were born in Trinity, Trinity Bay, NFLD in 1757 and
1761.
The family became pioneers in the Hant's Harbour area in the mid 1800's.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
