Greetings List
I found an individual in the 1881 Census on the Vessel "Cambridge". His occupation is simply listed "Lg Sn"
Others occupations are listed simply "AB" which I am assuming stands for Able Bodied (?)
What is "Lg Sn"? I at first thought it might be "Long Shoreman" but the dictionary tells me that was the person on the warf who unloaded materials. My thought is that such a labourer would have a "home" address and that he would not be connected to any Vessel in particular ....
Also listed as occupationgs on this vessel were
Grs Mate
Qr Mr
Chief Grs Mate
Would anybody know what kind of vessel the CAMBRIDGE was?
Many thanks and of course Cheers
