Hello Linda,

By now you will have received replies from a number of listers who have
said that this is a scam, don't advance money, the firm's got something to
hide ... etc.etc.etc.
I quite agree that you should treat this unsolicited corresponence with
caution but be aware that there are companies out there who specialise
in tracing long lost beneficiaries of Wills and they are quite legally
permitted to charge a fee for doing so. If I've read this correctly, the
firm
in question haven't actually asked you to forward any money. All they've
said is that they expect to get a 40% 'finder's fee'. If you do decide to
sign
the document, you'll get the other 60% of whatever the deceased person
has left you. This is, of course, more than you'll get if you do nothing. In
the words of the prophet ... it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp
stick.

As I said, treat this with caution but as long as you don't hand over any
money up front then you stand to lose absolutely nothing.

Cheers m'dear,
