Hi June:

From the GENUKI/Devon Frequently asked questions File (FAQ):

9. What is the WCSL?

The WCSL is the Westcountry Studies Library in Exeter. This is the
main section of the Devon Local Studies Reference Library, and has a
very large collection of books, pamphlets, etc., relevant to
Devonshire Local and Family history. It provides a very useful online
catalogue. For more details see under Archives and Libraries on the
GENUKI/Devon page

The full FAQ file can be found via a link near the top of the
GENUKI/Devon page - it is in fact at:

http://www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/DevonFAQ.html

and copies are occasionally posted to DEVON-L

Suggestions for extending or improving the FAQ file are always welcome.

cheers
