Hi Patricia,

Most of the Devon wills were destroyed when Exeter was bombed in WWII. The
Burnet Morris Index may be as far as you get. If you are extremely lucky
(like I was), you may be able to find deeds of property owned by the family,
and in some cases these quote substantial extracts of wills to show
ownership. I found virtually the whole will of my g.g.g.g grandmother,
Margaret GREENSLADE, quoted in a deed for property in Moretonhampstead. The
original will was unavailable, presumably lost in WWII.
