At court held 17 Oct 1751 it is witnessed that Josias Baker of Tornoham co
Devon ,yeoman and William Baker of Tornoham [nephew of said Josias ho held 7
fields called Blakey Downs cont 28a in Paignton, surrendered the same [in
consideration of a marriage to be concluded bet. said William Baker and
Elizabeth Adams ,dau of William Adams of Denbury yeoman and for 5s paid by
Gregory Adams of Ipplepen yeoman and Charles Ward mariner] on condition that
Gregory Adams and Charles Ward may have the same in trust for William and
Elizabeth and their sons in tail male successively
