David , I will check the maps for you next time I'm in the library- I
believe Park Place was on the Teignmouth Road,possibly the houses opposite
the bottom end of Park Road, but I'll have to check to be certain.
Unfortunately my 1900 map only goes as far as the top of Park Road and not
down the hill. The 1861 census shows it between Lummaton Place (which is
still called that today) and the Palk Arms. Well Lummaton Place runs
parallel to Teignmouth Road, but in behind., and the Palk Arms is on the
Teignmouth Road opposite the bottom of Hartop Road.
