Burn Farm is in Ilsington parish, about 7 miles NW of Newton Abbot.
This is an example of the misleading way in which the 1851 CD gives
the Registration District as part of the address. See
www.eclipse.co.uk/a-french/searchin.htm

And it's TeigNmouth not TeigHmouth. Teignmouth is two parishes, East
Teignmouth and West Teignmouth. Mary Jane might have been baptised in
one of them. You can find out where the records are on
www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/ As she was 4 in 1851, it would be
possible to buy her birth certificate. (Available for births after
1837.)

This is the second time this e-mail has appeared. I made some similar
comments - was it a week ago? Didn't they reach you?

My 2gggrandfather Thomas Brandon HAYNE moved to Devon & set up a
drapers business at 18 Courtney St.He had 5 people working for him.He
married Mary Jane MANN born Teighmouth Devon, though in the 1851
census she was living with Joseph MANN at Burn Farm, Newton
Abbott.Thomas and Mary in the 1881 census had three children, William,
Lucy, and George. George my gggrandfather immigrated to New Zealand
in the 1890.So far they are untraceable relly's.Hope some out there
