Hi

I have been able to trace my SPICER family back to George SPICER b circa
1795 in Chumleigh, Devon.

George married Mary Baglole on 17 Sept 1817

I been led to believe that three SPICERS came to the UK and were the
commencement of the SPICER line in the DEVON area

If I commence with a John SPICER born circa 1630 in Topsham Devon whose wife
was Johane WITHHALL and bring this line forward I not only one son lived to
a marriageable age i.e Michael SPICER born 1662, Topsham Devon. I feel that
this Michael married Ann WELLS on the 2nd Oct 1684 at Barton-On-The-Heath,
Warwick, England (a bit out of Devon but not an unreasonable possibility)

Using the above deductions I was wondering where I should continue my
research in an endeavour to link up (if possible) with my George SPICER
(whom I hope may be a descendant of Michael's).

I have been unable to trace back from George nor down from Michael

Believing there was only three SPICERS one of whom I understand from an old
manuscript ref: SPICER family on my website, settled in Devonshire, one in
Warwickshire and the third in Kent, is there any records available which
would help me in my research

Note John SPICER is listed as Mayor of Exeter in the document I have on my
site.
